Reactions of Hurricane SurvivorsThanks to modern preparedness, there have been many, many survivors of even the most deadly hurricanes. They have had many different reactions. Some have been very relieved that the hurricane was over and that they and their family had survived. Others wished it was still going on so that they could get more monster waves to surf on. And of course, the media is usually disappointed after a hurricane because hurricanes usually bring extra viewers.One excited surfer yells, "I'm loving it! I'm going to get on the cleanup crew after its over and make me some real money!" Others were not so enthusiastic. Said one man with his house right in the midst of the hurricane, "The noise was incredible. You couldn't really hear individual things smashing because of the overall roar. It was that freight thain you always hear described. Like it was running right through the house." |
