A high pressure system usually brings clear weather and cool temperatures. Big Ls men low pressure systems. A low pressure system usually brings rain and hight temperatures. A line with half circles on top represents a warm front. Warm fronts bring clouds, rain, and humid air. A line with triangles on the bottom represents a cold front. Cold fronts bring storm clouds, thunderstorms, and cold, dry air. A line with triangles and half circles alternating top and bottom, represents a stationary front. Stationary fronts bring clouds, rain, and light winds. A line with triangles and half circles alternating on the bottom represents an occuuladed front. Occuladed fronts bring storm clouds, and strong winds. Once you learn therse basic symbols, you will be able to read a weather map. In order to find out the weather for you area, locate your area on the map and look at the symbols. Then interperate them.
